Penn State's Machado, Lobdell, and RIT's Coe, Kelley Earn AHA Player of the Week Honors

Quartet recognized for performances during games Oct. 8-12

BOSTON, Mass. - October 14, 2024 - Atlantic Hockey America is proud to honor four student-athletes as AHA Players of the Week for their outstanding on-ice performances in games of Oct. 8-12, 2024. This week's winners are Penn State graduate student Alyssa Machado (Forward), Penn State graduate student Lyndie Lobdell (Defenseman), RIT senior Sarah Coe (Goaltender), and RIT first year Brac Kelley (Rookie).

AHA FORWARD OF THE WEEK
Alyssa Machado, Gr., F, Penn State

Penn State graduate student Alyssa Machado led the Nittany Lions in points and goals this week as she scored three goals and dished out two assists in two games against Union. After registering a goal and an assist in Friday's 4-2 win, the Mississauga, Ont. native scored back-to-back goals in 14 seconds on Saturday, which was the fastest back-to-back goals by the same player in program history. She also added one assist in the 5-3 win to tally three points on the evening. The Nittany Lions earned their first sweep of the 2024-25 season with Machado posting a rating of +4.

AHA DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Lyndie Lobdell, Gr., D, Penn State

Defenseman Lyndie Lobdell tallied three points in Penn State's two-game series at Union this weekend. She recorded a pair of assists in game one of the series on Friday, then scored her second goal of the season in game two on Saturday. The Aurora, Ill. native is now riding a three-game point streak, and has two goals and three assists for five points to her name on the year. Lobdell had a career-high 20 points on nine goals and 11 assists last season, earning CHA Defenseman of the Week honors three times.

AHA GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Sarah Coe, Sr., G, RIT

RIT senior goaltender Sarah Coe made 28 saves in RIT's 4-2 win over (6/7) Colgate on Saturday. Coe made 10 saves in the 1st period, five in the 2nd period, and was clutch down the stretch making 13 saves in the 3rd period. In total, she turned aside 28-of-30 shot attempts for a save percentage of .933. The Brooklin, Ont. native has a record of 3-0-0 so far this season, and boasts a .929 save percentage and 1.67 goals-against average in 180:17 between the pipes.

AHA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brac Kelley, Fr., F, RIT

RIT first year forward Brac Kelley put together a three-point game on Saturday to help lead RIT to a 4-2 win over (6/7) Colgate. Kelley scored her first collegiate goal at 9:06 in the 2nd period to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead. She also had the primary assist on Kylie Aquaro's goal in the 2nd period, and assisted on Bronwyn's Khangsar's game-winning goal at 14:38 in the 3rd period. The Wilkes-Barre, Pa. native also fired four shots on goal, blocked four shots, and won 13 draws for the Tigers in their two-game weekend series.
