AHA FORWARD OF THE MONTH
Tessa Janecke, Jr., F, Penn State
In her first 11 games of the 2024-25 season, Penn State junior forward
Tessa Janecke racked up 14 points on five goals and nine assists. Janecke's 14 points lead Atlantic Hockey and are tied for 13th nationally, and her nine assists also lead Atlantic Hockey and are tied for ninth nationally. The Orangeville, Ill. native started the season on an eight-game point streak, and has already tallied four multi-point efforts. She scored two goals at Union on Oct. 11, and dished out three assists vs. Stonehill on Oct. 26 at the Ice Breaker Tournament. Four of her goals have come at even strength, with one coming short-handed on Oct. 5 at (9/9)* UConn. In addition, her 67 shots and 167 face-off wins lead the AHA.

AHA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Lyndie Lobdell, Gr., D, Penn State
Penn State's
Lyndie Lobdell leads all AHA defensemen in points, registering eight points on two goals and six assists in 11 games so far this season. Lobdell has been a key part of Penn State's 8-3-0 start, as her +10 rating not only leads the Nittany Lions, but all of Atlantic Hockey. The Aurora, Ill. native scored one of her two goals on the power play, and has orchestrated three multi-point games on the season. She blocked a season-high five shots vs. Syracuse on Oct. 31 in Penn State's AHA opener. On the season, Lobdell has put 19 shots on goal and blocked 14 shots.

AHA GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Sarah Coe, Sr., G, RIT
RIT goaltender
Sarah Coe is off to a 4-1-0 start in net for the Tigers. Coe won her first four starts of the season, putting together a pair of shutouts in that stretch. The Brooklin, Ontario native recorded an 11-save shutout vs. Assumption on Sept. 28, and a 23-save shutout vs. RPI on Oct. 18. She also made 28 saves on 30 shots (.933 save percentage) in RIT's 4-2 win over (6/7)* Colgate on Oct. 12. Through five games, the senior netminder has turned aside 112-of-121 shots for a save percentage of .926. Her 1.93 goals-against average sits second in Atlantic Hockey, while her .926 save percentage sits third.

AHA ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Grace Outwater, Fr., F, Penn State
Penn State freshman
Grace Outwater has made an immediate impact for the Nittany Lions. Outwater has registered 10 points on five goals and five assists in 11 games so far this season. Her five goals are tied for the AHA lead, and she is tied for third nationally in points among rookies. The Picton, Ontario native had a big Ice Breaker Tournament, as she netted her first-career hat trick on Oct. 26 vs. Stonehill. She also dished out two assits for a five-point game, the most in a single game by an AHA skater this season. Outwater also put together multi-point games on Oct. 12 at Union (2a) and on Oct. 19 vs. Dartmouth (2g).

Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) embarks on its first season in 2024-25 after the merger between the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America. The conference fields 11 men’s teams (American International College, Bentley University, Canisius University, The College of Holy Cross, Mercyhurst University, Niagara University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, Sacred Heart University, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy), and six women’s teams (Lindenwood University, Mercyhurst University, Penn State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, and Syracuse University).
