BOSTON - One Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) program had yet to play a regular season contest, but that changed Friday when Robert Morris made its debut at No. 4/3 Michigan of the Big Ten.
Despite holding leads twice, the Colonials fell to the Wolverines 2-4 in the first of two games in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Shortly after a power play expired, Pittsburgh native and sophomore forward Michael Felsing lit the lamp to take a 1-0 lead for the Colonials.
1:15 after Michigan tied things up, freshman forward Luca Primerano netted his first Division I goal to take the lead back 2-1.
The visitors' scoring touch evaporated after Primerano's goal. The Wolverines took the lead for the first (and final) time 7:50 into the third period, due to freshman forward Adam Valentini's second of the game.
Senior forward T.J. Hughes hit the empty net with under 30 seconds in regulation to cement a 4-2 victory for the home team.
Robert Morris freshman netminder Adam Schenkel made 35 saves in his NCAA debut.
