Canisius moves to 2-0, Sacred Heart and Robert Morris dominate in exhibitions.

BOSTON - Canisius was the only Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) program to compete in regular season action on Sunday, and represented well as it defeated St. Lawrence 4-2 at LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo, N.Y.

The Golden Griffins netted the first two goals of the game, with junior forward Trey Funk netting the game-winner over the visitors from ECAC Hockey.

Senior forward Grant Porter hit an empty net for a second consecutive game to cement the 2-0 record. Canisius moves to 2-0 for the first time since 1998-99.

Robert Morris beat Waterloo (U Sports) 6-2 on its home ice in Moon Township, Pa. Four Colonials recorded multi-point efforts.

(RV) Sacred Heart seized a commanding 5-1 victory over Simon Fraser behind a hat trick from senior forward Joshua Barnes.
