AHA Men's Final Frame (Nov. 18, 2025)

Niagara takes its third straight game as it ends RIT's win streak at nine games in overtime.

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - A pair of New York-based Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs met in Tuesday night action at Niagara's Dwyer Arena.

The Purple Eagles, who swept Army West Point this past weekend, hosted the Tigers, who entered the game on a nine-game win streak.

The low-scoring contest saw three goals scored, with the first coming off of RIT freshman forward Evan Konyen's stick. The goal that opened the game's scoring was the last time the Tigers would find the back of the net.

Another freshman forward, Tyson Zimmer, got in on the action and made it a 1-1 game just 2:02 into the middle frame. The final 37:58 of regulation ended scoreless, forcing the game into overtime.

Senior blueliner Ethan Lund took the puck across the blue line into the right faceoff circle and ripped a shot that glided over the stick side of RIT's sophomore goaltender Jakub Krbecek. The Purple Eagles took the 2-1 victory in overtime thanks to Lund's crafty goal.

Freshman forward Maxim Muranov added the helper on the overtime winner and recorded his eighth point (4G-4A) in the last four days (three games played).

Freshman goaltender Tomas Anderson got the start for Niagara and made 23 saves, but sophomore Deivs Rolovs finished the victory and stopped all three shots he faced.

Krbecek made 20 saves in the loss. With the loss, RIT's win streak is snapped at nine games. The Purple Eagles have now won three straight contests.
