WEST POINT, N.Y. - Tuesday night featured Thanksgiving week's first Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) men's matchup as (RV) Bentley took on Army West Point.
After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, senior forward Stephen Willey took credit with the game's first goal and his first of the season 3:02 into the middle frame to give the Black Knights a 1-0 lead.
Army West Point held its 1-0 lead for 12:25 in the game's second set of 20:00. Senior forward Stephen Castagna then scored his fourth goal on the road this season to even the score 1-1.
Freshman forward Owen Goodbrand took the Bentley lead in goals (6) on his third game-winner of the season as he potted one to make it 2-1 15:53 into the third period.
Goodbrand took the lead for the Falcons for the first and final time, as junior forward Ryan Mansfield added an empty net goal with only 1:03 remaining in regulation to cement its 3-1 victory.
Freshman goaltender Lukas Swedin made 26 saves in the effort.
