BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

Four programs were represented, with three first-time winners honored.

FORWARD OF THE WEEK
Alvarez earned her first weekly honor after she recorded the first hat trick of her collegiate career, and the second in AHA this season, against Lindenwood in the Tigers' 7-1 win on Nov. 1, 2025.

Alvarez's hat trick is only the third by an RIT skater since 2019-20, and the first since Jordyn Bear did against Lindenwood on Dec. 6, 2024.

Following the weekend, the Rochester, N.Y. native moved up on the AHA goals leader list and is currently tied for the fourth most.

DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
VanNetten played a key role in Mercyhurst's sweep over Delaware last weekend. The Laker led all freshmen blueliners in the nation last week with three points after racking up three (1G-2A).

The Simcoe, Ontario native registered her first career point on Oct. 31, tallying an assist on the game-winning goal in overtime.

The following day, VanNetten recorded her first collegiate multi-point game with two (1G-1A) and scored her first goal in a 4-0 shutout victory.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
DeSa picked up her third honor of 2025-26 and 11th of her collegiate career after shutting out Robert Morris in back-to-back games. This is the sixth time that DeSa has earned consecutive shutouts in her career.

The Pawcatuck, Conn., tied for the AHA lead with a 1.000 save percentage, and stopped all 31 shots she faced in Moon Township, Pa.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Lonask scored her first collegiate goal with three seconds left in the game to force overtime on Friday, Oct. 31, at (RV) Mercyhurst and pick up another point in AHA's standings.

The Chandler, Ariz. native led AHA with 19 blocks and leads the nation with 56 this season. Lonask became the first skater in the nation to surpass 50 blocks in 2025-26.
