AHA Women's Players of the Month (November 2025)

Penn State's Janecke, DeSa and RIT's Pickering and Keranen honored with AHA awards for November performance.

BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its November Players of the Month on Monday.

Two programs were represented, with one first-time honoree.
 

PLAYERS OF THE MONTH
Forward: Tessa Janecke, SR, Penn State (Orangeville, Ill.)
Defense: Emma Pickering, JR, RIT (Fishers, Ind.)
Goaltender: Katie DeSa, SR, Penn State (Pawcatuck, Conn.)
Rookie: Tilli Keranen (F), RIT (Kuopio, Finland)
 
FORWARD OF THE MONTH
Janecke collects her second Forward of the Month honor in 2025-26 and eighth overall after finishing second in AHA last month with 11 points (3G-8A) in seven games.

The Orangeville, Ill. native's 11 points in November mark the 10th time in her collegiate career that she has recorded 10+ points in a single month.
 

DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Pickering earned the second AHA monthly honor of her collegiate career after recording the third-most points among Division I defensemen in November with 13 (4G-9A) in nine games.

The Fishers, Ind. native had yet to notch double digits in a single month of her career, and set a career high in November. Pickering also scored four power play goals, which was tied for the national lead, but sat alone as the most among Division I defensemen last month.
 

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
November marks DeSa's second consecutive month with the honor, and the fifth time in her four seasons.

The Pawcatuck, Conn. native posted a 6-1-0 record in seven games played and led the conference (min. 33% of team minutes played) with a 1.58 goals-against average, ranked fifth with a .914 save percentage and was the only AHA netminder to record two shutouts in November.
 

ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Keranen recorded seven points (3G-4A) in eight games with RIT to receive her first-ever AHA monthly award.

The Kuopio, Finland native was tied for the fourth-most points among AHA freshmen last month.
