BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Nov. 24-30.
Four programs were represented, with two players earning their first-ever AHA weekly honors.
Forward: Barron Woodring, JR, Army West Point (Downers Grove, Ill.)
Defenseman: Chris Hedden, SR, Air Force (Kalamazoo, Mich.)
Goaltender: Lukas Swedin, FR, Bentley (Stockholm, Sweden)
Rookie: Charlie Schenkel (G), Robert Morris (Toronto, Ontario)
Woodring earned the second AHA weekly honor of his collegiate career, and the first since his freshman campaign in 2023-24.
The Downers Grove, Ill. native tallied three points (1G-2A) through two games last week, with all three coming in Army West Point's 5-4 win over No. 18/19 UMass at home on Saturday, Nov. 29. This was Woodring's second career three-point effort, and his first this season.
For the third time in the last three weeks, Hedden has been named AHA Defenseman of the Week. This marks the seventh weekly conference honor in Hedden's career.
The Kalamazoo, Mich. native skated in two games last week and potted two goals in a 3-3 tie at Canisius. Hedden has three multi-point games on the season, with all of them occurring in November.
Swedin received his first AHA weekly award after he posted a top-five goals-against average (2.00) last week in the conference (min. 33% of team minutes played). Through two games, the freshman posted a 1-1-0 record, a save percentage of .926 and was one of four AHA netminders to make at least 50 saves.
The Stockholm, Sweden native helped the Falcons take a 3-1 win last week at Army West Point on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Schenkel is the second Colonial to earn a weekly honor in 2025-26. Through two games last week, the freshman posted a 1-0-1 record and led AHA (min. 33% of team minutes played) with a 0.97 goals-against average and a .951 save percentage.
On 41 shots faced, the Toronto native made 39 saves over two games.
