BOSTON, Mass. - February 26, 2025 - Atlantic Hockey America is proud to recognize the 18 student-athletes represented on the 2024-25 All-AHA teams and AHA All-Rookie Team.

2024-25 ALL-AHA FIRST TEAM
The All-AHA First Team includes forwards Tessa Janecke from Penn State, Vanessa Upson from Mercyhurst, and Katelyn Roberts from Penn State. Janecke (21g, 27a, 48pts) was among the top scorers in the country, and led Atlantic Hockey in points during conference play with 28. Upson (13g, 24a, 37pts) ended the regular season as Mercyhurst's leading scorer, and finished with 26 points on 11 goals and 15 assists in 20 AHA games. Roberts (10g, 21a, 31pts) was fourth in the conference in points on the season.

The All-AHA First Team defensemen include Penn State's Kendall Butze and RIT's Emma Pickering. Butze (3g, 22a, 25pts) led all AHA defensemen in points overall and in league play (18), and her 22 assists on the season ranked fourth among all skaters in the league. Pickering (11g, 11a, 22pts) led AHA blueliners in goals, and her eight power play goals were tops in the league among all skaters, with five coming in league play. 

The All-AHA First Team goaltender is Penn State's Katie DeSa. On the season, DeSa's 1.40 goals-against average led Atlantic Hockey and ranked sixth in the nation. In conference play, DeSa led the AHA in save percentage (.947), goals-against average (1.13), and shutouts (7).

2024-25 ALL-AHA SECOND TEAM
The All-AHA Second Team forwards consist of Syracuse's Bryn Saarela, Penn State's Maddy Christian, and Lindenwood's Morgan Neitzke. Saarela (17g, 12a, 29pts) and Christian (18g, 11a, 29pts) were tied for second in the league in goals during conference play with 12. Saarela's six power play goals are second in the conference, with four coming in league play. Saarela averaged a point per game in league play with 20 points in 20 AHA games. Christian's 18 goals on the season were good for second in the league, and she tallied 19 points in 20 conference games. Neitzke led the Lions in scoring with 26 points on the season, and she scored 10 goals and dished out eight assists for 18 points in 19 AHA games. 

The All-AHA Second Team defensemen include Lyndie Lobdell from Penn State, and Megan McKay from Mercyhurst. Lobdell (4g, 16a, 20pts) and McKay (5g, 16a, 21pts) were tied for second in assists among AHA defensemen with 16 apiece on the season. Lobdell led AHA defensemen with a +19 rating in league play. McKay tallied 13 points on two goals and 11 assists to go along with a +9 rating in AHA play.

The All-AHA Second Team goaltender is Syracuse's Allie Kelley. Kelley started all 20 league games for the Orange, ranking second in the conference with a .939 save percentage. Her 11 conference wins were also second in the league, and in total, her 1,078 saves in the regular season were tops in the country. 

2024-25 AHA ALL-ROOKIE TEAM
The AHA All-Rookie Team includes forwards Julia Schalin from Mercyhurst, Grace Outwater from Penn State, and Brac Kelley from RIT. Schalin (12g, 17a, 29pts) paced AHA rookies in scoring during the regular season. In conference play, her 11 goals were tops among rookies, and her 25 points were third among all skaters. Nationally, Schalin's 29 points were second among rookies. Outwater (16g, 9a, 25pts) led AHA rookies in goals, and ranked second in points. Outwater also led AHA freshmen with a +14 rating in league play. Kelley (9g, 15a, 24pts) was second among rookies in points during AHA play with 13. Kelley's .561 face-off win percentage on the season ranked fifth in the conference and was tops among rookies. 

The AHA All-Rookie defensemen are Penn State's Grace Tullock and Syracuse's Jessica Cheung. Tullock (5a, 5pts) led rookie defensemen and ranked third among all skaters with a rating of +20 in AHA play. Her +22 rating on the season also led rookie defensemen and ranked fifth among all skaters. Cheung (1g, 9a, 10pts) led rookie defensemen with eight points (all assists) in conference play. Cheung blocked 72 shots on the season and 45 in conference play, both of which led rookie blueliners in the AHA.

The AHA All-Rookie goaltender is Mercyhurst's Magdalena Luggin. Luggin saw action in 13 regular season games and posted a .930 save percentage to go along with a 1.96 goals-against average. In seven AHA games, she went 5-2-0 with one shutout.

About Atlantic Hockey America
Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) embarks on its first season in 2024-25 after the merger between the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America. The conference fields 11 men’s teams (American International College, Bentley University, Canisius University, The College of Holy Cross, Mercyhurst University, Niagara University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, Sacred Heart University, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy), and six women’s teams (Lindenwood University, Mercyhurst University, Penn State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, and Syracuse University).
