AHA Men’s Final Frame (Jan. 16, 2026)

Two programs take overtime wins, the Lakers earn their second shutout in the last week and Canisius rallies behind a hat trick.

BOSTON - All 10 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs competed on Friday to drop the puck on a weekend of intra-conference action.

ROBERT MORRIS VS. ARMY WEST POINT
Army West Point opened the contest’s scoring on Friday evening, but Robert Morris was able to take a temporary 2-1 lead with a two-goal middle frame.

At the end of 60:00, the scoreboard read 2-2, and overtime was required. Army West Point junior forward Nik Hong ultimately netted the game-winning goal 4:04 into overtime.

(RV) RIT VS. CANISIUS
The Tigers scored two of the game’s first three goals and had their only lead halfway through the middle frame.

Junior forward Walter Zacher took the lead back for the Golden Griffins with his second goal of the game. Zacher netted one more and cemented a hat trick performance and the goal that would serve as the eventual game-winner 1:40 into the third period.

This was the fifth hat trick by an AHA skater this season.

NIAGARA VS. MERCYHURST
Mercyhurst sophomore forward Brendan Lamb scored two of Mercyhurst’s three goals in its second 3-0 shutout in the last week.

Freshman goaltender Charles-Edward Gravel was once again in the net for the shutout and made 26 saves in the effort.

AIR FORCE VS. HOLY CROSS
Holy Cross got out to an early 1-0 lead nearly six minutes into play on Friday.

However, Air Force struck back in the second with two goals in under two minutes. Senior forward Michael Abgrall scored with under three minutes remaining to tie the game 2-2 for the Crusaders.

The contest went to overtime, where Abgrall added a helper on sophomore forward Noah Eyre’s game-winning goal.

(RV) BENTLEY - SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart senior blueliner Noah Ellis scored in his third straight game to add the game’s first goal to the board.

The visiting Falcons then added two, one late in the first period and one early in the second. Bentley held a 2-1 lead going into the second intermission.

Pioneers’ senior forward Felix Trudeau etched his name into the box score with a game-tying goal 13:56 into the final frame. However, it was senior defenseman John Driscoll who played hero for Sacred Heart as he potted the game-winner 17:59 into the third period.
