AHA Men’s Final Frame (Jan. 17, 2026)

Robert Morris collects a shutout victory, Mercyhurst and Canisius sweep series.

BOSTON - All 10 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs competed in intra-conference series finales on Saturday, with two programs earning series sweeps.

ROBERT MORRIS VS. ARMY WEST POINT
Robert Morris benefitted from a two-goal middle frame and saw three different goal scorers. Sophomore goaltender Lucas Massie earned his first shutout with the Colonials and made 22 saves.

The 3-0 Robert Morris road victory was the only shutout in AHA among Saturday’s slate.

MERCYHURST VS. NIAGARA
The Lakers earned their first series sweep of the season, downing Niagara 4-2.

Mercyhurst scored the first three goals, with a different Laker accounting for each of the four goals. Senior netminder Salvatore Evola made 36 saves in his first-ever Mercyhurst victory.

(RV) BENTLEY VS. SACRED HEART
Bentley got off to a hot start, scoring the game’s first three goals. Two of which came in the opening 20:00 session.

The Pioneers struck back with three of their own, all coming in the middle frame. Bentley took back the lead in the final frame, but Sacred Heart senior forward Felix Trudeau tied the contest 4-4 11:28 into the period.

Trudeau’s goal ultimately forced overtime. In the extra period, neither team could find the back of the net. Ultimately, Bentley took the extra point, securing it with a 2-0 shootout win.

CANISIUS VS. (RV) RIT
Canisius swept RIT after a 4-1 victory, with three of the Golden Griffins’ goals coming in the first period.

RIT did not add to the board until it scored its only goal of the contest 2:10 into the third. Senior goaltender Chase Clark made 29 saves in the victory.

AIR FORCE VS. HOLY CROSS
Air Force secured three points after an overtime loss with a 5-2 road victory over Holy Cross. Three Air Force skaters recorded multi-point efforts, including sophomore forward Sam Stitz, who netted two goals in the win.
