BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Jan. 12-18, 2026. Two programs were represented, with one first-time honoree. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Forward: Molly Henderson, SR, Lindenwood (Rockford, Ill.) Defenseman: Abby Poitras, SO, Mercyhurst (Whitby, Ontario) Goaltender: Magdalena Luggin, SO, Mercyhurst (Vienna, Austria) Rookie: Tatiana Blichova, F, Lindenwood (Presov, Slovakia) FORWARD OF THE WEEK Henderson collects her first weekly conference honor of 2025-26 after tying for the AHA points and goals lead last week with four (3G-1A) in two games played. The Rockford, Ill. native scored all three Lindenwood goals in a 3-2 win over Delaware on Friday, Jan. 16, where the senior netted her first career hat trick. In the Lions’ 6-3 sweep-clinching victory on Saturday, Jan. 17, Henderson added a helper in a 6-3 win. DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK Poitras tied for the AHA lead in goals among blueliners (2) in two games played, to add her first-ever AHA weekly honor. The Whitby, Ontario native found the back of the net in both games of Mercyhurst’s sweep at RIT, where the Lakers outscored the Tigers 7-4 over the series. Both goals scored by Poitras were game-winners, including the overtime score 1:39 into the extra period to secure a 2-1 victory on Saturday, Jan. 17. GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK Among AHA goaltenders last week (min. 33% team minutes played), Luggin finished second with a 1.98 goals-against average and fifth with a .911 save percentage in two games (2-0-0) at RIT. The Vienna, Austria native stopped 41 shots and allowed four goals to grab her third weekly honor of 2025-26. ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Blichova tied with teammate Henderson for the AHA points and goals lead with four (3G-1A) in two games played. The Presov, Slovakia native recorded her first career hat trick on Saturday, Jan. 17 in a 6-3 win over Delaware.
