AHA Men’s Final Frame (Jan. 23, 2026)

Eight programs compete, with three conference series beginning.

BOSTON - Eight Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) teams hit the ice on Friday, with three games starting conference series with points on the line in the league’s standings.

(RV) RIT VS. NIAGARA
While the opening 20:00 session saw no scoring, RIT struck first with two goals in the middle frame.

Once the Tigers got out to a 2-0 lead, they did not lose the lead in the road contest.

Niagara finally found the back of the net within the first 5:00 of the third period, but RIT followed up with what would serve as the game-winner exactly one minute later.

HOLY CROSS VS. ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris broke a tie in the opening period and managed to score four straight goals.

The Colonials held a commanding 4-1 lead entering the third period, and added another to extend that 5-1. Holy Cross netted one more, but began a comeback too late as there was only 1:20 remaining in regulation.

Five different Colonials scored in the victory.

CANISIUS VS. MERCYHURST
On the road, Canisius opened the scoring with two straight goals. However, the hosting Lakers retaliated with three of their own to take an eventual 3-2 lead on their home ice 12:09 into the third period.

The Golden Griffins managed to tie the game and take the lead in 23 seconds.

Sophomore forward Hunter Price potted the game-winner 17:58 into the third period.

(RV) BENTLEY VS. (RV) PRINCETON
Bentley sophomore forward Michael Mesic scored the eventual game-winner and added an empty net goal in a 4-1 non-conference victory over Princeton.

Sophomore goaltender Nicholas Bevilacqua played an integral role in the effort, making 22 saves.

SACRED HEART VS. NO. 6/7 QUINNIPIAC
Quinnipiac took down Sacred Heart 5-1 in the semifinals of the sixth annual Connecticut Ice tournament in New Haven, Conn.
