BOSTON - Eight Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs competed in conference series finales on Saturday night.
BENTLEY VS. ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris potted the contest’s first pair of goals, but a collective four-goal middle frame was the end of the evening’s scoring.
The pair of teams started and ended the third period tied 3-3. Nobody found the back of the net in overtime, which led to Robert Morris securing an extra point with a 1-0 shootout win.
(RV) RIT VS. MERCYHURST
RIT built a permanent lead in the second period, as it opened the scoring 8:41 into the middle frame and tacked on another just over three minutes later.
RIT sophomore goaltender
Jakub Krbecek made 18 saves in the effort.
CANISIUS VS. NIAGARA
Despite falling into a 0-3 hole, Canisius managed to climb back with three goals in the final 1.5 periods of regulation.
Senior blueliner
Robert Kincaid tied things for Canisius 3-3, and senior forward
Grant Porter took the victory for the Golden Griffins, with a goal 2:47 into overtime.
SACRED HEART VS. AIR FORCE
