BOSTON - Eight Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs competed in action on Friday, with all four home teams closing out the weekend with victories.

None of the two-game series ended in sweeps after the end of play this week.

HOLY CROSS VS. CANISIUS
Canisius benefitted from getting out to a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission. Despite Holy Cross coming back to tie it, Canisius managed to pick up steam in the third period and take the lead.

The Golden Griffins closed the contest out with a 5-3 victory, with each goal being scored by a different skater.

SACRED HEART VS. (RV) BENTLEY
The Pioneers scored 30 seconds into the opening period, but that would be their final goal of the night.

Bentley scored five straight goals, including three over a 10:00 span in the second period.

MERCYHURST VS. AIR FORCE
Air Force fell behind early, but managed to strike back and take a lead in the middle frame.

After the Falcons’ first goal of the night, the Lakers also went on a two-goal run. However, that was their final run of the evening, as the home team broke a 3-3 tie and extended its lead to 5-3.

Mercyhurst made a final push with a goal during the game’s final two minutes, but could not find the back of the net a second time and fell 4-5.

NIAGARA VS. ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris took down Niagara 5-1 after the Colonials scored three straight goals. and got up 3-0 halfway through the middle frame.

Niagara added one to the board during the second period, but it did not matter as Robert Morris tacked on two more in the final 20:00.
