AHA Men’s Final Frame (Feb. 6, 2026)

Air Force’s Hedden eyes the century mark, and Bentley continues to roll.

BOSTON - All 10 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs hit the ice in conference play on Friday.

Four of five home programs picked up points in the league’s standings, and (RV) Bentley picked up the only regulation win on the road in the conference.

AIR FORCE VS. NIAGARA
Niagara scored the game’s first goal nearly seven minutes into the middle frame. The Purple Eagles held their lead until 14:44 into the third period when the visiting Falcons netted a game-tying goal that would force overtime.

Air Force sophomore forward Nick Sajevic potted the game-winning goal 2:34 into overtime, taking down Niagara on the road 2-1. Senior blueliner Chris Hedden added a helper on the overtime winner to hit 99 career points.

(RV) BENTLEY VS. HOLY CROSS
The pair of Massachusetts programs competed in another game that saw no scoring in the opening 20:00 session.

Once the scoring began in the second period, Bentley struck twice and held the lead until regulation ended to earn a 4-2 victory.

Senior forward Jake Black had three points in the win.

CANISIUS VS. ROBERT MORRIS
For the sixth time in program history, Robert Morris took a 1-0 victory. Sophomore defenseman Dominic Elliott netted the only goal of the contest 8:50 into the second period.

Freshman netminder Charlie Schenkel made 36 saves between the pipes to collect his first Division I shutout.

MERCYHURST VS. SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart found the back of the net five straight times between the 3:54 mark of the second period and 12:29 into the final frame.

Sophomore defenseman Aiden VanRooyan recorded his first multi-goal game, as he added the first two scores for Sacred Heart. The Pioneers downed the Lakers 5-1.

This was the 1,300th career game for Mercyhurst head coach Rick Gotkin.

(RV) RIT VS. ARMY WEST POINT
Army West Point got on the board with the opening period’s sole goal. It added two more in the middle frame and held a 3-1 lead going into the second intermission.

Sophomore forwards Ben (2G) and Jack Ivey (1G) accounted for three of the Black Knights’ six goals in their 6-2 win.

Game two of the home-and-home series heads to Rochester, N.Y., on Saturday night.
