Cole McKenney enters his second season as Assistant Commissioner for Operations for Atlantic Hockey America in 2025-26. He is responsible for the daily operations of the conference, as well as business operations and travel logistics for officials.
McKenney joined Atlantic Hockey America after three years with Northeastern University Athletics, where he worked full-time as the Business Operations Coordinator after one year as a Graduate Assistant. He was responsible for managing the department's daily business operations, which included invoice payments, team travel logistics and contract submissions. Furthermore, he served as the liaison between the university's main office and the athletics office.
Additionally, McKenney officiates basketball at the high school level for IAABO Board 27 and NCAA Division III. McKenney is also a member of the Executive Board for Board 27, serving as their Assistant Secretary Treasurer.
McKenney earned his Bachelor of Science in December 2020 from Northeastern University in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He later earned his Master's degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern in July of 2022.
McKenney originally hails from Braintree, Mass.
