2025-26 AHA Tiebreakers
The 2025-26 regular season concludes Feb. 28, 2026. The final regular-season standings will become part of the permanent record for Atlantic Hockey America and will determine the seeding for the postseason. In the event of ties in the final Atlantic Hockey America rankings, the following procedures will be used in the listed order to break the ties and determine postseason seeding:
1. Head-to-head winning percentage.
2. Conference wins.
3. Head-to-head goal differential.
4. Goals allowed in head-to-head competition.
5. Head-to-head winning percentage in games against teams starting with the No. 1 team down to the No. 10 team.
6. Goal differential in games against teams starting with the No. 1 team down to the No. 10 team.
In the case of ties among three (3) or more schools, the criteria will be used in order until a team, or teams, is/are separated from the pack. At that point, the process will begin anew to break the “new” tie.
Example: When a four (4) way tie becomes a three (3) way tie through elimination of one (1) of the original four (4) teams in the tiebreaker, the three (3) way tie is treated as a “new” tie, and the process restarts with the No. 1 tiebreaker.
