  • Junior forward Josh Barnes scored two goals in regulation and the deciding tally in the fifth round of the shootout for AIC. 
  • AIC goaltender Chase Clark made 47 saves on 50 shots in 65 minutes between the pipes. He then stopped four of five Buckeye shootout attempts.

  • Graduate students Kyle Haskins and Alec Cicero and junior Grant Porter scored the three goals for Canisius.
  • Junior Oliver Tarr and sophomore Jack Budd each had two assists on the night for the Golden Griffins.
  • RPI was 1-for-6 on the power play while Canisius was 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

  • Preseason AHA Player of the Year Liam McLinskey scored a goal and dished out an assist for a two-point night. The Pearl River, N.Y. native had 14 multi-point games last season.
  • Senior goaltender Thomas Gale made 34 saves on 37 shots for a save percentage of .919. Gale made 16 saves in the 3rd period.

  • Lars Rødne opened the scoring for Niagara late in the 2nd period. It was the 20th goal of his career. Glebs Prohorenkovs picked up his 40th career point with his assist on the Rødne goal.
  • Niagara won the battle on the face-off dot, winning 39-of-71. Sophomore Tyler Wallace won a team-best 16.

  • RIT got goals from Dimitri Mikrogiannakis and Gustav Blom.
  • RIT out-shot Mercyhurst 33-30.

Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) embarks on its first season in 2024-25 after the merger between the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America. The conference fields 11 men’s teams (American International College, Bentley University, Canisius College, The College of Holy Cross, Mercyhurst University, Niagara University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, Sacred Heart University, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy), and six women’s teams (Lindenwood University, Mercyhurst University, Penn State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, and Syracuse University).
