BOSTON, Mass. – June 12, 2024 – Sixty league games and non-conference match-ups against some of the top teams in the NCAA highlight the 2024-25 Atlantic Hockey America Women’s League schedule.
The composite schedule for the AHA’s 23
rd season outlines conference and non-conference game dates and opponents for the league’s six member institutions.

The battle for the AHA regular season title will play out over 10 weekends beginning Oct. 31-Nov. 2 when Lindenwood hosts Mercyhurst, Penn State hosts Syracuse and RIT welcomes Robert Morris to open Atlantic Hockey America play.
Each AHA squad will play 20 conference games, facing each of the other five AHA teams four times during the 2024-25 campaign.
Among the highlights:
- Two-time defending CHA regular season and postseason champion Penn State and Mercyhurst will meet for the first time since last season’s CHA Championship Game on Dec. 6-7 at Mercyhurst. The Nittany Lions will be one of four 2023-24 NCAA Tournament teams skating in the 2024 Ice Breaker in Columbus, Ohio, joining host – and defending national champion – Ohio State, Cornell and Stonehill in the event on Oct. 25-26. Penn State’s non-conference slate also includes the annual Smashville Showcase, Nov. 29-30, that features 2023-24 Frozen Four qualifier Clarkson along with Providence and St. Thomas. PSU will also face two other NCAA tournament teams next season, visiting Connecticut on Oct. 4-5 and traveling to Minnesota for a single game on Jan. 4.
- Mercyhurst, the 2023-24 league runner-up, will open the season at Ohio State (Sept. 21-22) and will host NCAA qualifiers Colgate (Sept 27-28) Cornell (Oct. 11-12) at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. The Lakers will visit another tournament qualifier from a year ago when they travel to St. Lawrence Oct. 18-19.
- Robert Morris will open the season with back-to-back home series against Union (Sept. 27-28) and Bemidji State (Oct. 4-5). The Colonials will also host Princeton (Oct. 18-19) and Yale (Jan. 3-4) and visit Clarkson (Oct. 11-12), St. Anselm (Oct. 25-26) and Yale (Jan. 3-4).
- RIT’s non-conference schedule features and AHA-best nine home contests in 2024-25. The Tigers will host Assumption (Sept. 27-28), Colgate (Oct. 11-12), RPI (Oct. 18-19), St. Lawrence (Oct. 25-26) and Cornell (Dec. 31).
- Lindenwood will once again play a WCHA-heavy non-conference slate, hosting St. Cloud State (Sept. 21-22) and Minnesota State (Jan. 3-4) and visiting 2023-24 NCAA runner-up Wisconsin (Sept. 27-28), Bemidji State (Oct. 18-19) and St. Thomas (Nov. 7-8). The Lions will visit Merrimack (Oct. 25-26) to round out non-conference play.
- Syracuse will open the season at NCAA qualifier Minnesota Duluth on Sept. 28-29 to lead off a non-conference schedule that includes home games with Stonehill (Oct. 4-5), RPI (Oct. 11), Boston University (Oct. 25-26), Colgate (Nov. 29) and Cornell (Jan. 14). In addition to UMD, the Orange will also visit St. Lawrence (Oct. 8), RPI (Oct. 12), Quinnipiac (Oct. 18-19) and Colgate (Nov. 30).
2025 CHA Postseason
The chase for the Robert DeGregorio Cup will include all six Atlantic Hockey America teams this season. The Postseason will open with a quarterfinal round that sees the No. 3 team host the No. 6 team and the No. 4 team host the No. 5 team on Feb. 22.
The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals with the lowest remaining seed traveling to the No. 1 seed and the second-lowest remaining seed visiting the No. 2 seed for best-of-three series, Feb. 28-March 2.
The AHA postseason will conclude on March 8 when the two semifinal winners meet at the home of the highest-seeded semifinal winner for one game to determine AHA’s 2025 postseason champion and the conference’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
About the Atlantic Hockey America Women’s League
The Atlantic Hockey America Women’s League will mark its 23
rd season of competition in 2024-25. The six-team NCAA Division I conference consists of Lindenwood University (Lions), Mercyhurst University (Lakers), Pennsylvania State University (Nittany Lions), Rochester Institute of Technology (Tigers), Robert Morris University (Colonials) and Syracuse University (Orange).
