Atlantic Hockey America Announces 2026-27 Women's Conference Schedule

The conference season opens Oct. 2, 2026, with three league series.

BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its women's conference schedule for the 2026-27 campaign on Wednesday.

The league calendar begins with three series on Oct. 2-3 and concludes on Feb. 12-13. Each of the seven AHA programs is scheduled to play 24 league games during the upcoming campaign.

PENN STATE GOES FOR FIVE STRAIGHT
The last four regular season and postseason championships have gone to Jeff Kampersal and his Penn State squad. In 2026-27, the Nittany Lions will begin their quest to attempt to collect a fifth straight crown in the regular season on Oct. 2-3 when they host Robert Morris at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa.

Penn State will play through the final weekend of the regular season and close out a 24-game AHA slate in a two-game series on the road against Lindenwood on Feb. 12-13.

TITLE GAME REMATCH
Mercyhurst and Penn State, who have met in the last four AHA title games, will continue the Pennsylvania-based conference rivalry next season. The Lakers and Nittany Lions will meet four times during the regular season, with the first pair of contests in 2026-27 set for Nov. 13-14 in Erie, Pa., on the campus of Mercyhurst.

Before another potential meeting in the 2027 AHA Postseason, the duo will meet once again for two more games at Penn State after the calendar flips to 2027 on Jan. 22-23.

UPSTATE NEW YORK RIVALRY
RIT and Syracuse will meet in a pair of home-and-home series during the 2026-27 season, with the Upstate New York rivals squaring off on Nov. 20-21 and again on Jan. 29-30. The teams will flip sites for each series, combining for four games on the season.

2027 AHA POSTSEASON
The chase for the Robert DiGregorio Cup will include all seven Atlantic Hockey America teams. The postseason will open with a first-round game on Thursday, Feb. 18, between the No. 6 and No. 7 seeds at the site of the No. 3 seed. The winner will advance to the single-game quarterfinal round on Feb. 20. The No. 3 seed will host the winner of the first round game, while the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals, with the lowest remaining seed traveling to the No. 1 seed and the second-lowest remaining seed visiting the No. 2 seed for a best-of-three series from Feb. 26-28.

The AHA postseason will conclude on March 6 when the two semifinal winners meet at the home of the highest-seeded semifinal winner for one game to determine AHA's 2027 postseason champion. The winner of the AHA postseason tournament will claim the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
