AHA Women's Final Frame (Oct. 18, 2025)

Syracuse sweeps at Delaware, and Penn State moves to 8-0.

BOSTON - Five programs competed on Saturday in Atlantic Hockey America (AHA), and two earned wins after the final horn.

No. 6/6 Penn State is a program-best 8-0 after it trounced No. 15/15 Mercyhurst 6-1, to earn a weekend sweep of the Lakers. Five Nittany Lions scored in the series finale, and six recorded multi-point games.

With the two points (1G-1A) that Penn State's senior forward and captain, Tessa Janecke, tallied today, she extended her point streak to six games with 10 (5G-5A) in that span. That is tied for the fourth-longest active streak of its kind this season.

Senior netminder Katie DeSa made 16 saves and let one by in the third on a Mercyhurst power play. Freshman Tara Bach and sophomore Magdalena Luggin both appeared between the pipes for the Lakers.

While the game was not decided in overtime, Syracuse did not score until the 11:12 mark of the final frame. Sophomore forward Rylee McLeod potted her first career game-winner in what was also the sole goal of the matchup. The Orange left Fred Rust Ice Arena with a weekend sweep following the 1-0 victory.

Freshman netminder Ava Drabyk stopped all 22 Blue Hens shots to earn her first collegiate shutout with the Orange. Delaware's junior goalie Mattie Robitzer made 30 saves, but could not stop the game-winner from finding the back of the net.

Despite putting 24 shots on net, Robert Morris couldn't get one through, as (RV) Yale blanked the Colonials 4–0 to clinch the sweep.
