AHA Women's Final Frame (Nov. 25, 2025)

Syracuse takes a shootout win over No. 5/6 Cornell.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse was Atlantic Hockey America's (AHA) only women's program to compete on Tuesday to begin the week's action, and gave No. 5/6 Cornell of ECAC Hockey its first shootout loss of the season.

This is the second time the pair has met this season, as the Orange fell 0-5 on the road against the Big Red on Oct. 28.

Syracuse came into this game and delivered a completely different result, pushing the visitors to the brink in regulation.

The low-scoring event began with a Cornell goal at the 6:39 mark of the second period. Redshirt junior Mik Todd had her first goal of the season and evened the score 1-1 14:49 into the middle frame.

Again, the Big Red struck nearly eight minutes into the final frame to tip the scale back in their favor, 2-1.

Sophomore forward Stella Costabile netted the game-tying goal with under five minutes remaining in regulation. The game did head into overtime, but neither team could find the back of the net.

Ultimately, Syracuse took the shootout 2-0. While it is officially a tie, this is the second straight week the Orange have won a shootout.

Freshman netminder Ava Drabyk stopped all 48 shots she faced in the game, a new career high.
