AHA Women’s Final Frame (Dec. 12, 2025)

Robert Morris earns a victory behind two second-period goals.

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris earned its fifth shutout of 2025-26 as it was the only Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) program to compete on Friday.

All of the game’s scoring came during the second period as redshirt sophomore Alaina Giampietro netted one at the 2:13 mark in the middle frame. Giampietro has six points (4G-2A) in her last four games, including tonight’s game-winner.

Redshirt sophomore Taylor Storey netted an insurance goal and extended the home team’s lead 2-0 nearly five minutes after the game-opening goal.

Redshirt junior goaltender Maggie Hatch has two shutouts over her last three games played, and has blanked teams four times overall this season. In the 2-0 victory, the netminder made 26 saves to shutout LIU.

The Colonials hit the ice again on Saturday, Dec. 13, for their final matchup of the 2025 calendar year, once again taking on LIU with puck drop slated for 3 p.m. ET.
