MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris completed the sweep of LIU on its home ice with a 9-0 win on Saturday, marking the final Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) women’s contest until Tuesday, Dec. 30.
A nine-goal differential is tied for the fourth-largest for a single win in program history.
The Colonials shutout the Sharks for a second consecutive game, outscoring the visiting program 11-0 in the AHA program’s final non-conference action of the 2025-26 regular season.
Robert Morris shutout its opponent in back-to-back games for the second time this season, and the first since it blanked RIT in a two-game series between Jan. 29-30, 2021.
Seven Colonials recorded multi-point efforts, led by sophomore forward
Jessica MacKinnon’s five points (2G-3A). Senior forward
Morgan Giannone recorded the first hat trick by a Colonial since February 2021 (
Michaela Boyle).
Redshirt junior goaltender
Maggie Hatch earned back-to-back shutouts for the first time in her collegiate career. The Colonials’ netminder made 56 saves in the series, including 30 in Saturday’s win.
