BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) opened its 2025-26 season with a pair of teams playing in non-conference matchups against WCHA opponents. 

Mercyhurst head coach Mike Sisti dropped the puck on his 27th season at the helm of the program, flirting with an upset over #6/5 Minnesota Duluth at Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa. Five of the game’s seven goals were scored in the second period. Also in the middle frame, the Lakers rattled off three straight goals, including two within five seconds, courtesy of freshman forward Avery Bryk and graduate student forward Jessica Ciarrocchi. The Bulldogs prevailed 4-3 with a goal 2:36 into overtime from sophomore forward Caitlin Kraemer.

At Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, Lindenwood opened its 2025-26 campaign by holding #13/13 St. Cloud State to two goals through the first two periods. However, the Huskies tacked on three more in the third period. Junior forward Zsofia Pazmandi led the Lions with three shots on goal. Lindenwood fell to 0-1 with a 0-5 loss on opening night.
