BOSTON - Six Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs competed on Friday night, ahead of the final day of regular season action.
All three conference games needed more than 60:00 of regulation and went into overtime.
RIT VS. NO. 4/4 PENN STATE
Scoring did not begin until the 3:42 mark of the middle frame, when senior
Maddy Christian made it 1-0 for Penn State.
That was the only time the Nittany Lions saw a lead as the RIT netted two straight goals. Penn State was able to tie it in the final minute of regulation.
In overtime, freshman forward
Cassandra Barnes found the back of the net 3:42 into overtime to secure a 3-2 road win for the Tigers.
SYRACUSE VS. NO. 13/13 MERCYHURST
Both programs scored once in the first and third periods.
Syracuse junior forward
Jackson Kinsler sent the game into overtime with a goal 18:29 into the final frame.
Overtime did not decide the contest, and Syracuse managed to grab an extra point with a 1-0 shootout win.
LINDENWOOD VS. ROBERT MORRIS
Three goals were scored in the middle frame, with two coming from the visiting Lindenwood Lions.
The Colonials knotted things up with the final goal of regulation in the third period.
Lindenwood sophomore forward
Paige Cline ended overtime fast, as she netted the game-winning goal 24 seconds into the extra period.
