Penn State Earns No. 3 Seed in 2026 NC Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament

The Nittany Lions hit the ice on Saturday, March 14, at Pegula Ice Arena.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State, the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) postseason champion and automatic qualifier for the 2026 NC Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament, has been awarded the third seed in the bracket.

The Nittany Lions will compete in the second round of the regional matchups at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa., on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. ET, and are slated to face the winner of UConn vs. Princeton (Thursday, March 12).

On its home ice, Penn State is 17-1-0 this season. The 2026 Women’s Frozen Four is also set to take place at Pegula Ice Arena between March 20-22, giving the Nittany Lions a chance to spend the entire tournament in the building they call home.
