AHA Men’s Final Frame (March 8, 2026)

Robert Morris secures the final spot in the AHA semifinal.

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - In the final matchup of the 2026 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Quarterfinal round, No. 3 Robert Morris secured the final spot in the Semifinals with a 5-2 victory over No. 6 Air Force at Clearview Arena on Sunday.

The Colonials put the game’s first three goals on the board and held a 3-0 lead heading into the second intermission of the third and final game of the series.

In the third period, Air Force found the back of the net twice within a three-minute span. The Falcons had climbed back and made it a one-goal game, with the score at 2-3 before the period’s halfway point.

Sophomore forward Michael Felsing had other plans as he netted his second goal of the game, and freshman blueliner John Babcock sealed the deal with an empty netter 15:42 into the final frame.

Felsing netted the middle frame’s only goal in what would serve as the eventual game-winner. He was one of two Colonials to record multi-point efforts, and the only skater in the contest to score twice.

Freshman goaltender Charlie Schenkel made 60 saves in the victory, setting a Robert Morris program record.

The Colonials travel to No. 2 Sacred Heart for a best-of-three series in the semifinals that begins on Friday, March 13.
