AHA FORWARD OF THE WEEK
Clayton Cosentino, Sr., F, Air Force
Air Force's
Clayton Cosentino put together a four-point weekend (3g, 1a) against (20/RV) Arizona State. The senior captain scored Air Force's first goal of the season on Friday, then matched his career high with two goals and three points in a 4-3 overtime win for the Falcons on Saturday. The San Carlos, Calif. native assisted on the game-tying goal with 27 seconds left in the 3rd period to force overtime. He then scored the overtime game-winner on the power play. Cosentino added 27 faceoff wins with a .628 winning percentage on the weekend.
AHA DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Nick Bochen, Gr., D, Bentley
Bentley's
Nick Bochen scored two goals and added one assist in Bentley's season opening game against (14/14) Massachusetts. The North Vancouver, B.C. native had one goal and one assist in the 3rd period as Bentley scored three times. Bochen was also +1 on the night.
AHA GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Guy Blessing, Sr., G, Air Force
Senior netminder
Guy Blessing stopped 32-of-35 shots for a .914 save percentage in Air Force's 4-3 overtime win over (20/RV) Arizona State on Saturday night. After ASU scored two goals in the first five minutes of the game, Blessing made 24 straight saves as the Falcons rallied for the comeback win. Blessing was clutch down the stretch, making 12 saves in the 3rd period and one in overtime.
AHA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jakub Krbecek, Fr., G, RIT
RIT first year goaltender
Jakub Krbecek earned his first career win in his first career start on Sunday against Clarkson. The Prague, Czech Republic native turned aside 32-of-34 shot attempts, good for a save percentage of .941, en route to a 3-2 victory for the Tigers. He didn't allow an even-strength goal, only allowing a power play goal in the 2nd period and another with 2.3 seconds left in regulation with the Golden Knights skating with an empty net.
