BOSTON, Mass. – June 12, 2024 – A 143-game league slate, a four-weekend conference postseason tournament and a bevy of marquee non-conference opponents highlight the 2024-25 schedule for the Atlantic Hockey America Men’s League.
The composite schedule for the AHA’s 22
nd season outlines conference and non-conference game dates and opponents for the league’s 11 member institutions.

Each Atlantic Hockey squad will play 26 AHA games this season with the chase for the Atlantic Hockey regular season title and Robert DeGregorio Trophy beginning with the RIT-Mercyhurst series at Mercyhurst on Oct. 11-12.
Among the highlights:
- Air Force will join Massachusetts, Minnesota and Omaha in the 2024 Ice Breaker Tournament at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Oct. 11-12. This will be the Falcons’ fifth appearance in the Ice Breaker (2005, 2011, 2016, 2022). Air Force was the 2022 co-host with Denver and won the 2016 event.
- Defending Atlantic Hockey champion RIT will host AIC in a rematch of the 2024 AHA Championship, Feb. 14-15. The Tigers will also host Bowling Green in its annual Brick City Homecoming Weekend game on Oct. 19 at Blue Cross Arena.
- Holy Cross will journey to Southern California for the first Cactus Cup tournament, Jan. 3-4 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, Calif. The Crusaders will be joined by UMass Lowell, Michigan Tech and Omaha in the new holiday event.
- Robert Morris has built a non-league slate that includes a trip to NCHC foe North Dakota (Nov. 22-23) and will join host Arizona State, Cornell and Massachusetts in the ASU Desert Classic (Jan. 3-4) at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Ariz.
- Army West Point’s non-conference slate features home games with Penn State, Princeton and Vermont and a trip to Canada for the Black Knights’ annual contest with Royal Military College. Army will also tangle four times with Air Force this season – Jan. 17-18 at West Point and Feb. 14-15 in Colorado Springs.
- The non-conference slate for Canisius includes Big Ten foes Michigan State and Penn State. The Spartans will visit LECOM HarborCenter Oct. 25-26 while the Griffs will travel to PSU Jan. 17-18.
- Niagara will play its 2024-25 non-conference slate within the borders of the Empire State with road contests at Clarkson (Oct. 11), St. Lawrence (Oct. 12) and RPI (Oct. 18-19) and a home series with Union (Nov. 29-30). Alaska Anchorage will also visit Dwyer Arena Jan. 10-11.
- Sacred Heart will host its Nutmeg State rivals Quinnipiac, Yale and Connecticut in the annual CT Ice tournament, Jan. 24-25, at Martire Family Arena.
- In addition to hosting RIT to open AHA play, Mercyhurst will visit Minnesota for a two-game set Jan. 3-4 and face Keystone State rival Robert Morris three times – Nov. 5 at Mercyhurst Ice Center and Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at RMU.
- Bentley’s non-conference schedule is heavy with Hockey East opponents as the Falcons will host Massachusetts to open the season on Oct. 5 and visit New Hampshire (Oct. 11), Northeastern (Nov. 30) and Maine (Dec. 29). The contest with the Black Bears will take place in Portland, Maine.
- After opening the season at Maine on Oct. 6, AIC will visit Ohio State Oct. 11-12 and travel to Boston College for a single game on Oct. 18. The Yellow Jackets will also meet Massachusetts, Stonehill and Quinnipiac in non-conference play.
2025 Atlantic Hockey Postseason
The battle for the Jack Riley Memorial Trophy will play out on AHA campuses over four weekends in March with all 11 AHA teams competing for a berth in the single-game Atlantic Hockey Championship.
The 2025 Atlantic Hockey Postseason will open with single-game first round match-ups with the No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8 seeds hosting the No. 11, No. 10 and No. 9 seeds, respectively, on March 1.
Best-of-three quarterfinal series March 7-9 with the No. 1 seed hosting the lowest remaining seed, the No. 2 seed hosting the second-lowest remaining seed, the No. 3 seed hosting the third-lowest remaining seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed.
Semifinal best-of-three series will take place March 14-16 with the highest-seeded quarterfinal winner hosting the lowest-seeded quarterfinal winner and the second-highest remaining seed hosting the third-highest remaining seed.
The AHA Postseason will conclude March 22 when the two semifinal winners meet at the home of the highest-seeded semifinal winner for one game to determine Atlantic Hockey’s 2025 postseason champion.
