BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Oct. 13-19.
Players from three programs are represented, with each program picking up one win last week.
This is Canisius's second week this season with at least two Golden Griffins winning weekly awards.
Forward: Walter Zacher, JR, Canisius (Buffalo, N.Y.)
Defenseman: Crossley Stewart, JR, RIT (Halifax, N.S.)
Goaltender: Chase Clark, SR, Canisius (Williamsville, N.Y.)
Rookie: Dax Williams, FR, Holy Cross (Calgary, Alberta)
Zacher earns his third-ever weekly honor after leading AHA with five points (4G-1A) last week. His five goals led all skaters in the nation between Oct. 13-19.
The Buffalo, N.Y., native is one of four skaters to net four or more goals in a single week this season, the sole player from AHA.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward is tied for the second-most goals (6) in Division I this season. This is also the second time in Zacher's collegiate career that he has scored six times through the first seven games of the season.
In AHA history, Zacher is one of two players (Cody Wydo, Robert Morris) to score six or more goals through a team's first seven games.
Stewart's first point of the season was an important one, as it proved to be the game-winner in RIT's 6-2 victory over then-(RV) Clarkson.
This was the Halifax, Nova Scotia native's first career game-winning goal. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound blueliner delivered to aid RIT's new bench boss, Matt Thomas, in his first-ever win with the Tigers.
Stewart is the first AHA defenseman of the season to pot a game-winner. This is the RIT junior's first AHA Defenseman of the Week honor.
Clark's second Goaltender of the Week award this season and fourth in his collegiate career comes after a week where he posted a 2-1-0 record, playing in all three games for the Golden Griffins.
Last week, among AHA goaltenders (min. 33% of team's minutes played), the Williamsville, N.Y. native was second with a 2.71 goals-against average, fourth with a .914 save percentage and tied for the national lead with 85 saves.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound netminder's five wins this season are tied for the second-most in Division I. Only four have at least five wins.
Additionally, Clark leads the nation with 179 saves.
Williams tallied his first collegiate point, earning an assist in Holy Cross's first win of 2025-26, a 4-0 shutout at Mercyhurst and its only game last week.
The Calgary, Alberta native also added a block and was plus-1 in the effort.
