AHA Men's Players of the Month (October 2025)

RIT's Krbecek and Elfering, Canisius's Porter and Sacred Heart's Adamson honored with AHA honors for October performance.

BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its first Players of the Month of the 2025-26 season on Monday for regular season contests played in October.

Three programs were represented, with all four players receiving their first-ever AHA monthly honor.

PLAYERS OF THE MONTH
Forward: Grant Porter, SR, Canisius (Weston, Mass.)

Defenseman: Mikey Adamson, SR, Sacred Heart (Quincy, Mass.)

Goaltender: Jakub Krbecek, SO, RIT (Prague, Czech Republic)

Rookie: Caleb Elfering (F), FR, RIT (Richland, Wash.)

FORWARD OF THE MONTH
Porter was a driving force behind Canisius's first 3-0 start in program history, and put together a solid opening month to his senior campaign, as he tallied 11 points (4G-7A) in nine games played.

The Weston, Mass., native's 11 points are the most among all Golden Griffins since the AHA began play (2003-04) in October.

Among all AHA players, the 6-foot, 180-pound forward recorded the most points in the month since Oct. 2022.

Porter has recorded a single-season career high with seven assists and an eight-game point streak from Oct. 3-24, which is tied for the third-longest among all Division I players in 2025-26.

DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
In the AHA era (since 2003-04), Adamson leads all Sacred Heart blueliners with 16 points (3G-13A) in 19 games going back to 2023.

This season, the Quincy, Mass. native recorded five points (1G-4A) in seven games, the second most of his career and most among all Pioneer defensemen since he had six (6A) in 2023.

The Pioneers' captain has recorded at least five points in a single month seven times. Adamson also blocked 11 shots, the most in any one month of his collegiate career.

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Among AHA goaltenders (min. 2 GP), Krbecek finished October with the second-lowest goals-against average (1.61), second-highest save percentage (.940) and second in wins (4).

The Prague native's goals-against average and save percentage were both top 10 in the nation (min. 2 GP).

Since the program began Division I play in 2005-06, among RIT netminders in October (min. 2 GP), Krbecek's goals-against average is the second lowest, his save percentage is the third-highest and his four wins are tied for the third most.

ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Elfering recorded five points (2G-3A) through six games in his first month as an RIT Tiger.

Since 2005-06, only one RIT freshman (Anton Kharin, 6) has recorded more than the Richland, Wash. native's five points.
