Four AHA series take place this weekend, and Robert Morris hosts LIU in non-conference action.

BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) is set to play 10 games over three days, beginning with Holy Cross hosting Niagara in a conference matchup in Worcester, Mass., on Friday at 6 p.m. ET.

MATCHUPS
Nov. 7/8 (Friday/Saturday)
  • Niagara at Holy Cross
  • LIU at Robert Morris
  • Mercyhurst at RIT
  • Air Force at Sacred Heart

Nov. 7/9 (Friday/Sunday)

  • Army West Point vs. (RV) Bentley (Game One in Waltham, Mass. - Game Two in West Point, N.Y.)

QUICK HITS
  • Since Oct. 15, RIT has the second-most goals (25) in the nation through five games played, and the third-most goals per game (5.0).
  • Bentley senior forward Stephen Castagna's seven points (2G-5A) against conference opponents is tied for the most in Division I.
  • Bentley's power play unit has operated at a 31.3 percent success rate, the sixth-best in Division I.
  • Senior forward Glebs Prohorenkovs is one of 25 AHA players ever to reach a minimum of 1,200 faceoff wins, taking 1,232 from the dot.

HEDDEN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
Air Force blueliner senior Chris Hedden enters the weekend with 78 career points (24G-54A).

The Kalamazoo, Mich., native is on the verge of becoming only the 15th AHA defenseman since 2010 to record at least 80 points in their collegiate run.

Among active Division I defensemen, Hedden leads in points and is the only one to reach double digits in power play goals (11). Hedden's 177 career blocks are the third-most among any collegiate skater.

STRIPES ARE THE STANDARD
RIT is off to one of its best starts in program history, posting a 5-2-0 overall record heading into the weekend. In program history, the Tigers have had five or more wins only three times through Nov. 1.

Through three non-conference contests, RIT has captured three wins, the only time in program history it has remained undefeated against non-AHA opponents through the start of November.

As the Tigers head into another AHA series hosting Mercyhurst in Rochester, N.Y., it is worth noting that they lead the all-time series against the Lakers. RIT has taken four of the last six against the visiting opponent this weekend and is 37-21-6 overall, including a 19-9-4 home record.
