BOSTON - Five Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs are slated to compete through Dec. 31 ahead of the 2026 portion of the season.
Army West Point’s two games this week complete AHA’s men’s contests through Sunday, Dec. 14. On Friday, Dec. 12, the Black Knights will head to Hanover, N.H., for one game against Dartmouth. The following day, Army West Point will play Vermont in a Saturday evening contest in Burlington, Vt.
Between Dec. 14-27, AHA will not see a team compete in game action. The Black Knights are playing in three of the final five regular season contests to close out the calendar year.
Robert Morris visits Sacred Heart on Tuesday, Dec. 30, in the final conference matchup of the calendar year.

2025 HIGHLIGHTS
As the new year inches closer, take a look at some highlights from the 2025 portion of the current campaign.
- RIT hired former Tiger captain Matt Thomas, who took over for longtime head coach Wayne Wilson, who announced his retirement in April 2025.
- The Tigers put together a nine-game win streak between Oct. 18-Nov. 15, tied for the second-longest in the nation this season and is the third-longest in RIT’s Division I era.
- Following Brian Riley's retirement, Zach McKelvie is in his first season as head coach at Army West Point, having spent 11 years as an assistant coach on Riley's staff.
- Robert Morris head coach Derek Schooley earned his 300th career victory on Saturday, Dec. 6, in a 6-3 win at Air Force.
- Holy Cross’s Bill Riga reached the 75-win milestone this season, doing so in a 4-0 win at Mercyhurst on Saturday, Oct. 18.
- After announcing his retirement, Mercyhurst head coach Rick Gotkin began his 38th and final season as the Lakers’ bench boss.
- Following his November performance, Air Force senior blueliner Chris Hedden was the first-ever AHA skater to be named HCA Co-Defender of the Month. Hedden tallied 11 points (5G-6A) through nine games in November.
- Sacred Heart took third place at the 2025 Friendship Four, topping league rival RIT 3-0 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The pair of programs is the first from AHA to ever participate in the event.
- Canisius began the current campaign 3-0, the first time it has done so at the Division I level.
- AHA has seen four hat tricks in the 2025-26 season. Sacred Heart senior forward Felix Trudeau leads the conference with two.
- Niagara’s duo of forwards Maxim Muranov (8G-7A-15PTS) and Marshall Finnie (7G-3A-10PTS) lead all AHA freshmen this season.
- Ahead of the season, it was announced that AHA official Kirsten Welsh will serve as a linesperson in the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

- RIT’s penalty kill success rate of 90.9 percent is the third highest in Division I. The Tigers’ opponents have only scored five times on the man advantage this season, which is tied for the third fewest power play goals allowed in the nation.
- Sacred Heart’s Trudeau has five multi-goal performances in 2025-26, tied for the most in Division I.
- Among all freshmen goaltenders in the nation (min. 5 GP), Bentley’s Lukas Swedin’s 1.86 goals-against average is the fourth-lowest.
- Army West Point junior forward Barron Woodring’s 212 faceoff wins lead AHA and are the third most in Division I.
- Robert Morris junior forward Michael Craig is on a four-game point streak and has tallied five (2G-3A) since it began on Nov. 28. This is tied for the third-longest active streak in AHA.
- Air Force sophomore forward Nick Sajevic is on a six-game point streak, the fourth-longest in the nation. Since beginning the streak, Sajevic has notched 11 points (2G-9A).
- Among AHA goaltenders (min. 33% of team minutes played), Bentley sophomore Nicholas Bevilacqua leads the conference with a 1.65 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage through six games played this season (4-1-1).
AHA AT THE 2025 SPENGLER CUP
Holy Cross junior forward Jack Stockfish is the sole player from an Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) program named to the United States Collegiate Selects (USCS) team. AHA's two ties to the USCS now include the Crusaders' junior and Niagara head coach Jason Lammers, who is serving as an assistant coach.
The USCS will face Team Canada to open the Spengler Cup play on Dec. 26. Each team will play a minimum of three and a maximum of five contests during the six-day event.
The tournament is being broadcast to over 20 countries, either through a partner or via livestream. Every game from this year’s tournament will be streamed live in the United States via the
Spengler Cup’s official YouTube channel.
The U.S. College Selects 26-player roster consists of 16 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goaltenders. Nine are from the Big Ten, six are from Hockey East, six are from the NCHC, two each are from the CCHA and ECAC Hockey, and one representative is from Atlantic Hockey America.
