AHA points are on the line as every program begins conference action in December.

BOSTON - All 10 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs are set to compete in conference matchups to begin December play.

Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, are the only days this month with multiple contests.

MATCHUPS
Friday/Saturday (Dec. 5/6)

  • Canisius at (RV) RIT
  • Niagara at Bentley
  • Army West Point at Sacred Heart
  • Robert Morris at Air Force

Saturday (Dec. 6)

  • Mercyhurst at (RV) Holy Cross

AROUND AHA

  • Mercyhurst freshman forward Will Schumacher's three-game goal streak is the longest active of its kind in AHA.
  • Since Nov. 1, no freshman has more game-winning goals than Bentley forward Owen Goodbrand's three.
  • Canisius senior blueliner Jack Pascucci leads the nation with 40 blocks, the most by a Golden Griffin through Dec. 5 with data going back to 2012-13.
  • Army West Point junior forward Barron Woodring leads AHA with 185 faceoff wins and is one of six skaters to reach the mark this season.
  • Dating back to Nov. 15, Robert Morris senior forward Ryan Taylor has tallied five points (1G-4A) in his last five games.

QUICK HITS

  • Niagara forward Maxim Muranov's eight goals are tied for the sixth-most by a Division I freshman.
  • Sacred Heart senior forward Felix Trudeau has four multi-goal games, ranking third in the nation. In those contests, he has netted 10 goals.
  • Holy Cross senior Mack Oliphant (131 GP) is one of two active collegiate blueliners with 130+ games played.
  • RIT sophomore goaltender Jakub Krbecek's 1.70 goals-against average is the nation's fourth-lowest (min. 6 GP).

300 ON THE HORIZON
Robert Morris head coach Derek Schooley enters the weekend with 299 career Division I wins (all with the Colonials). The program's only head coach in its 20-year history is just one victory away from 300 wins.

If the Colonials can help Schooley reach the milestone this weekend, Schooley would become the 54th (26th active) Division I men's hockey coach to reach the milestone.

HEDDEN FOR GREATNESS
Air Force senior Chris Hedden was named HCA Co-Defender of the Month for his performance in November 2025. The Kalamazoo, Mich. native is the first-ever AHA defenseman to earn the honor.

Among all Division I defensemen, the senior tied for the points lead with 11 (5G-6A). Hedden also netted two power play goals in November and was one of six blueliners to score shorthanded last month, doing so in a 4-1 win at Sacred Heart on Friday, Nov. 7.

The last Falcon to earn an HCA National Monthly Honor was Jacques Lamoureux (October 2008). The last AHA skater to garner monthly recognition from HCA was former Army West Point defenseman Mac Gadowsky (February 2025).
