BOSTON, Mass. - March 22, 2025 - Penn State junior forward
Tessa Janecke has been named to the 2024-25 CCM/AHCA All-America second team, announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association on Saturday.
Janecke is the 14th All-American in CHA/AHA history. The Orangeville, Ill. native was named Atlantic Hockey America's Meghan Agosta Player of the Year, Vicki Bendus Forward of the Year, and AHA Scoring Champion for 2024-25. She is also a Top-10 Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award.
Janecke led Atlantic Hockey with 48 points on 21 goals and 27 assists during the regular season, and ended the 2024-25 campaign with 24 goals and 29 assists for 53 points. The junior forward opened the 2024-25 campaign with an eight-game point streak, then orchestrated a career-best 12-game point streak that went from Nov. 15 to Jan. 11. She then put together another eight-game point streak from Jan. 18 - Feb. 14. With her goal against Syracuse on Saturday, Jan. 18, Janecke became the all-time Penn State program career leader in points, and now boasts 153 career points on 63 goals and 90 assists. Janecke was named AHA Forward of the Week four times (Oct. 7, Nov. 18, Jan. 27, March 3), and AHA Forward of the Month on two occasions (September/October and November).
