BOSTON - Eight Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs dropped the puck on the first of two-game conference series on Friday evening.
Niagara and Sacred Heart went into each intermission tied and began the game with a four-goal first period. The contest went beyond 60:00 and ended when senior forward
Marcus Joughin netted the game-winner for a 5-4 Pioneers victory 3:36 into overtime.
Sacred Heart junior
Stephane Huard (2G) was the game’s only multi-goal scorer.
Mercyhurst earned its first victory of the 2025-26 season as it shutout Army West Point 3-0 on its home ice in Erie, Pa.
Freshman forward
Will Schumacher opened the scoring and netted what would serve as the eventual game-winning goal 12:50 into the opening frame.
Freshman netminder
Charles-Edward Gravel made 39 saves in his first career shutout.
(RV) RIT handled Robert Morris 4-1 for its eighth consecutive win at home, tied for the second-longest active streak in collegiate hockey this season.
Tigers’ junior defenseman Ben Roger was the only skater to register a multi-point effort with two (1G-1A).
In the battle of the Falcons, visiting (RV) Bentley got off to a hot start.
Bentley scored three straight to open the game, and tacked on two more after Air Force could only add one goal.
No skater had a multi-goal effort, but three Bentley Falcons recorded multi-point games.
Freshman goaltender
Lukas Swedin made 38 saves in the road victory.
