BOSTON – Lindenwood opened this week’s Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) women’s action with a visit to #2/3 Minnesota, falling 11-0 Thursday night to the Golden Gophers.

Minneapolis, Minn. – Lindenwood, playing its third game against a top five team in seven days, fell to #2/3 Minnesota, 11-0, Thursday night at Ridder Arena.
The Lions held the Gophers to one Adrianna Milani goal through 18 minutes, but Minnesota got two more before the first period ended and added three more in the second. The hosts then added four goals in the first four minutes of the third period. Milani, Ashley Allard and Madeline McCullough each finished with a pair of goals.
Lindenwood freshman Ebba Ridderstolpe (Botkyrka, Sweden) got the start in goal and stopped 32 of 36 shots in the first two periods.
The two teams close out their two-game series Friday.
