Game Highlights
Rochester, N.Y. – Junior Abby Stonehouse (Blenheim, Ont.), who scored the only goal in Friday’s game, recorded her first career hat trick Saturday as Penn State completed its sweep at RIT with another shutout, 6-0.
Stonehouse scored on the power play, at even strength and while shorthanded, and Maddy Campbell (Courtice, Ont.) stopped all 15 shots she faced for her second shutout of the season.
Stonehouse’s three goals give her seven on the season, which trails only teammate Grace Outwater (Picton, Ont.) among AHA players. Outwater scored her eighth of the season in the first minute of the third period Saturday.
Penn State has won seven games in a row and has taken an eight-point lead in the AHA standings.
