BOSTON – The Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) men’s players of the month for October represent four of the conference’s nine teams.

Defenseman of the Month: Nolan Cunningham, Air Force (Sr., Helena, Mont.)
Goaltender of the Month: JJ Cataldo, Army West Point (Jr., Stuart, Fla.)
Rookie of the Month: Jack Lisson, Canisius (G, Oakville, Ont.)

FORWARD OF THE MONTH
Owen Kim
led the conference in goals (six) and points (12) in October and was the only AHA player in double digits in points. His three power-play goals led the league and his +6 rating shared the lead among conference forwards.

Kim had an eight-game point streak from Oct. 3-30 that included four multiple-point games. He had his first career two-goal game Oct. 17 against Army West Point and scored goals in three straight games from Oct. 23-30, including the Crusaders’ first two conference wins.

DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Nolan Cunningham
recorded two goals and six points in eight games in October, ranking second among AHA defensemen in points per game (0.75). He added nine blocked shots and had a +3 rating in the month for the Falcons.

Cunningham had points in five of eight games and registered at least a shot on goal in every game. He scored a power-play goal in Air Force’s Oct. 15 win against Lindenwood and had a goal and an assist Oct. 31 at Robert Morris.

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
JJ Cataldo
, who was the AHA Goaltender of the Week for the final week of October, led Army West Point to a 4-0-0 AHA record in the month, the Black Knights’ best ever conference start. Overall he leads all AHA goaltenders in wins (5), goals-against average (1.49), save percentage (.945) and shutouts (two, tied).

Cataldo carries a five-game winning streak into November, a stretch that included a road win at top-10 Quinnipiac on Oct. 23 and back-to-back shutouts of RIT Oct. 30-31.

Cataldo was the league’s Rookie of the Month for November 2024; this marks his first Goaltender of the Month honor of his career.

ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Jack Lisson made six starts and appeared in all eight games for Canisius in October, posting three wins, one shutout, a 2.45 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He is the conference’s only freshman goalie to play in more than one game this season.

Lisson was the first Canisius rookie to start in goal in the season opener in 21 years, stopping all 23 shots he faced to become the first Golden Griffin in the team’s Division I history to post a shutout in his debut for the team. Six of his eight appearances have come on the road and include a victory at Clarkson (Oct. 16) and an overtime loss at Penn State (Oct. 24).
