BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Feb. 2-8, 2026.
Three programs were represented, with one first-time honoree.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Forward: Matt Kursonis, SO, Holy Cross (West Boylston, Mass.)
Defenseman: Dominic Elliott, SO, Robert Morris (Allendale, Mich.)
Goaltender: Danick Leroux, FR, Holy Cross (Candiac, Quebec)
Rookie: Billy Batten, F, Army West Point (Phoenixville, Pa.)
FORWARD OF THE WEEK
Kursonis earned his first weekly honor of 2025-26 after tying for the second-most points in AHA with three (1G-2A) in two games last week.
The West Boylston, Mass. native provided two helpers in a 4-1 win on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Bentley.
DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Elliott tallied two points (2G) last week through two games played, helping to sweep Canisius.
The Allendale, Mich. native potted the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over the Golden Grifffins on Friday, Feb. 6.
This is the second honor of the current campaign for Elliott.
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Leroux appeared between the pipes in both games of a series split (1-1-0) against Bentley.
The Candiac, Quebec native recorded a 2.03 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage. In the second game of the series, Leroux made 29 saves to help Holy Cross secure a 4-1 win on Saturday, Feb. 7.
The weekly honor marks the second of 2025-26 for the Crusader netminder.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Batten collected his first-ever AHA weekly award after leading the conference with four points (1G-3A) last week through two contests.
In the Black Knights’ 6-2 win over RIT on Friday, Feb. 6, the Phoenixville, Pa. native tallied three assists in his first career multi-point game.
In a 2-3 loss to the Tigers on Friday, Feb. 7, the freshman forward scored once.
