AHA Men’s Final Frame (March 13, 2026)

Bentley and Sacred Heart take the first games of the series.

BOSTON - The semifinal round of the 2026 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Postseason got underway on Friday, with two best-of-three series beginning with four programs competing for a spot in the tournament’s title game.

NO. 3 ROBERT MORRIS VS. NO.2 SACRED HEART
Robert Morris opened the contest’s scoring with a goal off the stick of senior forward Ryan Taylor. However, this would be the only time the Colonials found the back of the net.

Sacred Heart scored five straight even-strength goals, with three coming in the middle frame. All five goals were potted by different Pioneers in the 5-1 victory.

Sophomore netminder Ajeet Gundarah made 23 saves in the win. The Pioneers set a new program record for wins in a single season after they took their 22nd on Friday night.

NO. 4 HOLY CROSS VS. NO. 1 BENTLEY
To begin last year’s championship game rematch, Holy Cross got on the board first with a goal at the 17:32 mark of the second period.

Three goals were scored in the final frame, with Holy Cross taking a 2-1 lead 14:06 into the final frame.

Bentley trailed 2-1 heading into the final minute of regulation, but sophomore Michael Mesic tied the game with his second goal of the contest and put one behind the goaltender for his seventh straight game played to force overtime.

In the extra period of play, freshman forward Owen Goodbrand played the hero for Bentley as he ended the game 16:32 into the first overtime to collect a 3-2 win for the top-seeded Falcons.
