BOSTON - No Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) player had recorded a hat trick in 2025-26 before Friday, but as play comes to a close on Saturday, two skaters have scored three times in a contest.
Niagara swept Army West Point with a 4-1 victory, with much credit due to freshman forward Maxim Muranov, who had his second career multi-goal game and first collegiate hat trick after he potted all of his in the final 40:00 of play. Muranov also added a helper on the Purple Eagles' second goal.
Muranov's hat trick comes only a day after (RV) Sacred Heart senior forward Felix Trudeau had AHA's first of 2025-26.
The Pioneers also earned a sweep behind a 3-2 win over Canisius and another incredible Trudeau performance. The senior forward had two more goals in the evening, bringing his total to five in the weekend series.
(RV) RIT continues to roll, taking down Robert Morris 3-2. Junior forward Christian Catalano found the back of the net 19:14 into the third period to break a 2-2 tie permanently. The Tigers finish the week having won nine straight games.
(RV) Holy Cross cruised to a 4-1 sweep-clinching win at Air Force. Different Crusaders scored all four goals in the victory.
(RV) Bentley fell to Alaska Anchorage 2-3 and earned a split in their inaugural series against the visiting team.
