?M?U?S?I?C? MILESTONE CITY
(RV) Mercyhurst is set to make its second-ever appearance in the 2025 SMAHSVILLE Women's Collegiate Hockey Showcase at Ford Ice Center Bellevue in Nashville, Tenn.

The Lakers are one of three programs participating (Stonehill and Wisconsin) and are making their first appearance in the event since 2021-22, where they went 1-1-0.

Mercyhurst head coach Mike Sisti has the chance to reach a milestone that few people in Division I collegiate hockey have. The 27-year Lakers' head coach enters the weekend with 599 wins and is on pace to become the second active Division I women's head coach with 600 career wins.

CATS VS. DOGS
Penn State reached its highest ranking in program history this week, boosting itself from No. 4/4 to No. 6/6 in both collegiate polls (USCHO.com and USA Hockey).

This week, the nation's only undefeated team heads to Massachusetts to take on a top-10 opponent in No. 7/7 Northeastern. The Nittany Lions average 5.2 goals per game and have allowed 1.00 goals per game, which is the highest scoring margin in Division I.

The pair of teams have met four times previously, and split the series 2-2. The last meeting took place on Penn State's home ice, where it won 2-1 on Sept. 27, 2024
