Penn State Wins 2024-25 AHA Regular Season Title
The Penn State Nittany Lions secured the 2024-25 AHA regular season title with a 4-3 overtime win over Mercyhurst on Friday, Feb. 7. It's the third consecutive regular season conference title for the Nittany Lions.
Lyndie Lobdell was the hero, as she
scored the game-winning goal at 1:15 of the overtime period to secure the win. Penn State owns a conference record of 17-1-0 on the season, and their 17 league wins are tied for the most CHA/AHA conference wins in a single season. PSU is tied with Mercyhurst's 2012-13 team, who posted a conference record of 17-3-0.
Jeff Kampersal's squad has a chance to set the record this weekend at RIT.
Schalin Continues Strong Rookie Campaign

Julia Schalin picked up three points this past weekend at Penn State, as she scored a goal in each game along with adding an assist in Saturday's contest. Schalin now has nine multi-point efforts on the season, and her 27 points are the second-most in the country among rookies. The Espoo, Finland native enters the final weekend of the regular season riding a seven-game point streak with 10 points (3g, 7a) in that stretch.
Postseason Play Coming Soon
All six members of Atlantic Hockey America will participate in the 2025 Atlantic Hockey postseason, which begins on Saturday, Feb. 22 with the single-game quarterfinal round. The best-of-three semifinal round is set for Friday, Feb. 28-Sunday, Feb. 2, and the Atlantic Hockey America Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8. AHA Teams in National Polls
Penn States (26-5-1, 17-1-0) is ranked No. 9 in this week's USCHO Women's Poll released Feb. 10. The Nittany Lions are also ranked No. 9 in this week's USA Hockey/The Rink Live Women's poll released Feb. 11.
Mike Sisti's Mercyhurst Lakers (17-13-2, 12-5-1) received a vote in both polls as well.

- 4: Points for Lindenwood forward Morgan Neitzke this past weekend vs. RIT, en route to earning AHA Forward of the Week honors on Feb. 10. Neitzke currently leads the Lions in goals (10), assists (11), points (21), and shots (124).
- 35: Saves for Syracuse goaltender Allie Kelley on 37 shots(.946 save percentage) this past weekend at Robert Morris. Kelley has now won five games in a row, all in conference play, and has allowed just six total goals in that stretch.
- 8: Power play goals on the season for RIT's Emma Pickering, which is tied for second in the nation and is tops among defensemen.
- 3: Short-handed goals for Penn State's Maddy Christian, who is one of just three skaters in the country to have three short-handed goals on the season.
- 19: Points for Robert Morris junior Morgan Giannone, which leads the Colonials. Giannone has potted eight goals to go along with 11 assists on the season.
- 33: Saves for Mercyhurst's Jorden Mattison on 35 shots (.943 save percentage) in a 3-2 win at Penn State on Saturday, Feb. 8. With the win, Mattison's record improves to 10-7-2 on the year.
