BOSTON, Mass. - March 19, 2025 - Army sophomore defenseman
Mac Gadowsky and Holy Cross senior forward
Liam McLinskey have been named to the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Top-10 Finalist list, the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Foundation announced on NHL Network on Wednesday.
Gadowsky and McLinskey are the 15th and 16th Atlantic Hockey players to be named Hobey Baker Top-10 finalists. It's the first time that two Atlantic Hockey players have been selected as Top-10 finalists in the same season. McLinskey was also a Top-10 finalist last season, and his selection this year makes him the first Atlantic Hockey player to be a top-10 Hobey Baker finalist in back-to-back seasons.
The ten finalists were selected by voting from all 64 Division I college hockey head coaches, as well as online fan balloting. This year’s winner will be chosen from this group by the 30-member Selection Committee, along with an additional round of fan balloting that will run from March 19 - March 30 on the Hobey Baker website hobeybaker.com.
The Top-10 Finalists will be narrowed to three "Hobey Hat Trick" finalists by the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Selection Committee on April 3, 2025. The winner will be announced on Friday, April 11, 2025 during the Frozen Four weekend in St. Louis, Mo. For more information on the 2025 Hobey Baker Memorial Award, click HERE.
