TEAM NOTES
DELAWARE
• Freshmen lead three conference teams in scoring outright: Delaware, Mercyhurst and Penn State. Only one of those is a freshman defenseman, the Blue Hens’ Reese Reid (Mississauga, Ont.). She assisted on Delaware’s lone goal on Friday, then scored her first career goal on Saturday, Delaware’s first power play goal of the season.
• Charlotte Payne (Oakville, Ont.) posted a .906 save percentage in the series at RIT and contributed her first career assist.
LINDENWOOD
• Freshman Ebba Ridderstolpe (Botkyrka, Sweden) made consecutive starts for the first time against Mercyhurst and stopped 77 of 81 shots (.951 save percentage). She is 2-2-0 on the season with a 1.51 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.
• Six players have accounted for the Lions’ last six goals.
MERCYHURST
• Off this weekend, the Lakers return to action Oct. 23-24 at #8/8 UConn.
• Mercyhurst has back-to-back AHA Rookies of the Week in Halle Duchene (Saskatoon, Sask.) and Mariia Polozkova (Moscow, Russia). Duchene and Polozkova have combined to score five of the Lakers’ last nine goals.
• Mercyhurst has killed 27 of 28 shorthanded situations (96.4%).
• Mercyhurst’s next conference win will be its 300th, leading all AHA schools (299-74-30).
PENN STATE
• Nicole Hall (Stockholm, Sweden) scored three goals against Syracuse, including the game-tying goal Friday to force overtime and the game-winning goal Saturday, her first of two in the game. With Grace Outwater (Picton, Ont.) and Abby Stonehouse
(Blenheim, Ont.) attending Hockey Canada’s National Team Selection Camp, Penn State got goals in both games last weekend from Hall and Mikah Keller (Mosinee, Wis.).
• Sophomore Maddy Campbell (Courtice, Ont.) has five shutouts among her eight career wins after blanking Syracuse on Saturday.
RIT
• RIT is 2-0-0 to start the conference season for the first time in Division I.
• Junior Zoe Ziotas (Markham, Ont.) has goals in four straight games, the longest stretch for a Tiger since Jaymee Nolan scored in four consecutive games in 2019-20. Ziotas and Northeastern’s Stryker Zablocki are the only players in the nation with multiple shorthanded goals.
• Ireland Stein (Saskatoon, Sask.) had a team-high 11 shots in the Delaware series and her first goal of the season.
ROBERT MORRIS
• Goaltender Maggie Hatch (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) recorded her 2,500th career save Friday, becoming just the eighth netminder in conference history to reach that mark. She is 9:38 shy of 3,000 minutes in conference games, which only six AHA goaltenders have reached.
