BOSTON – Saturday’s Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) women’s action featured a sweep at Penn State, a split at Mercyhurst, and a victory for Delaware that snapped an 0-19-1 stretch for the Blue Hens dating to last season.

Newark, Del. – Three Blue Hens scored their first career goals as Delaware erased a 1-0 Lindenwood lead in to win, 4-1, in its home opener and the conference opener for both teams.
It marked the first win for Delaware since November 14, 2025, and equals their conference win total from last season (1-23-0). The Blue Hens are 1-1-1 following a shootout win and a loss at Holy Cross last weekend.
Freshman Kyla Schneider (Lincolnshire, Ill.) and sophomore
Francesca Barresi (Ottawa, Ont.) scored for Delaware in the second period after the Lions had opened the scoring on the power play. Sophomores
Wren Abboud (Weymouth, Mass.) and
Emma MacIntyre (Halifax, N.S.) added empty-net goals in the third, along with Schneider scoring for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Game Highlights
University Park, Pa. – Freshman Sofia Ismael (St. George, Ont.) – who scored her first collegiate goal Friday – recorded a hat trick on Saturday to lead Penn State to a sweep of Robert Morris in the first conference games for both teams.
Penn State peppered Robert Morris goaltender Maggie Hatch (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) with 52 shots, while allowing just four – the second-fewest ever allowed by an AHA team. Last year Penn State allowed just a single shot in its Oct. 11 win at Delaware.
Ismael added an assist for a four-point game, while junior Abby
Stonehouse (Blenheim, Ont.) had a career high three points with assists on each of Ismael’s goals.

Erie, Pa. – Mercyhurst scored two shorthanded goals in the second period and went on to hand Syracuse its first loss of the season, 5-2, earning a split in the weekend series.
Freshman Mariia Polozkova (Moscow, Russia) posted her first two-goal game of her career and added an assist to lead the Lakers offensively. It was sophomore
Julia Perjus (Stockholm, Sweden) and Polozkova who scored shorthanded in the second, sandwiched around a Syracuse goal to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead. Polozkova’s second goal came with just 0:00.3 left in the second to make the score 4-1.
Syracuse senior Jackson Kinsler (Madison, Wis.) scored both goals for the Orange, her second two-goal game in as many weeks.

Hamilton, N.Y. – Despite a strong first period in which RIT outshot Colgate, 16-8, and emerged tied 1-1, the hosts scored twice in the second and were able to hold on for a 4-2 win and a weekend sweep.
RIT junior Zoe Ziotas (Markham, Ont.) scored her third goal of the season and second in as many days to pull the Tigers within one with 6:41 remaining, but they couldn’t get the equalizer. Colgate’s Alexia Aubin scored her second of the game into an empty net to seal the win.
RIT falls to 0-4-0 on the season, but all four losses have come to ranked opponents.
